The Road To Today

Center for Transportation Safety began service as a Corporate Driver Training service in the year 2000. Based in Denver, Colorado, the company began offering a full range of CDL training services to the oil and gas service industry. Since its beginning, the company has been able to offer its services by working directly on the customer’s site where the true-life experiences of the driver take place vs. maintaining training locations in areas the driver would not experience in their working environment.

Over the years, the company has seen many changes. In 2009, the company was purchased by PHH Vehicle Management Services for its Light Duty Vehicle training services to Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceuticals, a PHH client. PHH became Element Fleet Management Services in 2014, and ultimately sold Center for Transportation Safety to Driving Dynamics, Inc. in 2017.

In November 2021, Driving Dynamics sold the company to one of the original Center for Transportation Safety employees, James Paterson. James has over 30 years in the Commercial Vehicle industry with over 20 years at Center for Transportation Safety. Combined, he has over 40 years of experience in the transportation industry.

    1. IT IS GREAT TO FINALLY SEE ANYONE TEACH SAFETY. I AM A DRIVER AND OWNER OPERATOR FOR OVER 40 YEARS. LONG TIME AGO I WATCHED J.B.HUNT BECOME THE FIRST TEACHING SCHOOL TRUCKING COMPANY IN THE USA . AS TIME PASSED SAFETY DISAPPEARED , AND THE SAFETY MAN FOR EACH COMPANY BECAME VACCANT. I COULD NOT BELIEVE MY EYES WATCHING GUYS HIT OTHER TRUCKS IN THE TRUCK STOP. ALSO , SMACHING OVERPASSES ALL OVER THE PLACE , ALSO TURNING TOO SHARP , AND GOING OVER CARS. I AM VERY HAPPY TO SEE YOU MAKING A DIFFERENCE . WISH YOU THE BEST
